The Formula is dedicated to providing top-notch Pilates teacher training for aspiring instructors. Based in a vibrant community, we strive to enhance your teaching abilities and deepen your understanding of Pilates. Since our inception in 2023, our passion for teaching has helped countless individuals unlock their potential. We believe that everyone deserves to experience the joy of Pilates in their lives.
Why The Formula?
Ottawa's Pilates scene has expanded rapidly since 2023, and with that growth has come a wave of shorter, often online-only teacher trainings. Many graduates are eager and capable, but the structure of these programs often leaves gaps — limited practice teaching, few observation and self-practice hours, and little follow-up or mentorship once certification is complete. Without that foundation, even popular teachers can develop habits that compromise technique, safety, and long-term student progress.
The Formula was built to address that gap. Our 150-hour, in-person training pairs deep curriculum — history, anatomy, modifications, cueing, and repertoire — with meaningful practice teaching, observation, self-practice, and ongoing mentorship. We give new teachers the time and support to build their foundation properly, so they graduate confident, prepared, and ready to teach safely and inclusively.
